A question regarding "forced lags" (?)

  • Hello, I'm not sure how to call this kind of lag but I've seen it a few times in the past days:

I often play TD St-2 and there are sometimes people who get suddenly lags when they're near the goal - and score. Coincidence? I think not. I heard there is a way to force lags for a few milliseconds so that we can't see them in the table (TAB -> Ping). I don't wanna discuss how they do that, I'd just like to know if there is a way to do something against that? tenor.gif

Here are two screenshots of a DM match I had a few minutes ago. Not sure if these were the lags. (Although the players with the above-mentioned lags just float in the air for 1 second and then run into the goal and maybe die.)

  • If their connection is bad and you interact with them, they will get lag spikes since the connection can't handle the traffic.

However if you see it happens only when they are about to score (or only lags before they die), you can report them if you can record a video or something.

  • I noticed that a long time ago. Most people tend to lag in that area because both teams are bunched up around the person who has the fumbi.

The effect of the goal triggered can also make a little spike in all of our pings. So if you see someone's ping go up before that then they are lagging because of their net....could be forcing a lag but force lag is too obvious these days so I doubt it.

  • its called network limiter they can set how much traffic exactly goes through at any time to make themselves become invulnerable since they wont receive the packet from the server to send the info that they've been shot a million times then they revert the settings to normal and they will die after they td thats for the td but i think it has the same application for dm where they just shoot you instead of running to the goal

Thank you, know I understand it. It actually happened 2 minutes ago while playing TD. ;w; I'd like to record and report these ppl but my PC is so bad.. While recording I get FPS drops at its finest.

not everyone's pc can handle video recording since it eats up your processor
